Drake Dawson, MS: ABA, LLMSW

Drake Dawson has a  Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Oakland University, a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University, and a Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) from Oakland University. Additionally, Drake holds certification in Parent Management Training - Oregon (PMTO).  Drake worked in foster care, ABA clinics, and mental health outpatient services. Having experience in the ABA and the social work field, he has brought both experiences together as a “Behaviorist Social Worker.” Drake believes "As social workers, we need to work ourselves out of a job. If we did not have jobs, Mental Health would be cured.”

Areas of expertise are behavior reduction (including self-injury), autism, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, oppositional/defiant (ODD), Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA).

When not working, Drake enjoys time with family, friends, and his cat (Q). He likes being active, reading, watching TV shows, and playing video/board games.
