LGBTQ+ Support
We live in a world that is becoming more accepting, but it's not always easy. We still face unique challenges related to sexual orientation and gender identity, coming out, mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, and navigating relationships with family, friends, and partners. These experiences can be isolating, and it's essential to have a space where we can feel understood and supported.
The Queer League
Provided by Drake Dawson, LLMSW, we offer a new support group designed specifically for the LGBTQ+ community. This isn't just another group; it's a safe and affirming space where you can connect with others who truly get it.

Our program is structured around key areas of personal growth and resilience, drawing inspiration from resources like "The Queer & Transgender Resilience Workbook" by Dr. Anneliese A. Singh.
We'll explore topics such as:
-
Understanding and embracing our orientation and gender identity: We'll create a space for self-discovery and affirmation, celebrating the diversity of our experiences.
-
Navigating the coming out process: Whether you're considering it or have already come out, we'll share strategies for managing this journey and its impact on our lives and relationships.
-
Prioritizing mental health and well-being: We'll discuss coping mechanisms, resilience, and finding strength in the face of adversity.
-
Advocating for LGBTQ+ rights: We'll empower each other to understand and engage with the ongoing fight for our rights, both personally and collectively.
-
Building healthy relationships: We'll explore strategies for navigating relationships with partners, friends, and family, and building a strong support network.
The Queer League is more than a group; it's a community. It's a place to find your voice, build resilience, and connect with people who share your journey. If you're looking for a space to be your authentic self and build a stronger, more resilient you, we invite you to join us.
