Adela is currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Oakland University. She believes that healing begins when we feel safe enough to tell the truth, about our pain, our fears, and the parts of ourselves we learned to hide for surviving purposes. Therapy with Adela is about creating space to understand yourself with more compassion, clarity, and choice. Adela is especially drawn to supporting people who have learned to be strong early in life, and are now learning how to be gentler with themselves.

With over 15 years of experience in the business world, she understands the burnout of high-functioning, over-responsible individuals, the life transitions coming from career change or relocation and the identity exploration and rebuilding after disruption.

Adela uses therapy techniques in NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) - focused on CPTSD, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy (trauma-informed), Attached-Based Therapy, Internal Family System (IFS). She believes that the theraputic approach should be at the pace the nervous system allows. Being real is enough.
