This group is a weekly support workshop to provide children with a safe
place to identify and process their emotions and build a sense of community. The group
focuses on building tools for emotional regulation in the face of everyday challenges
and difficult life experiences such as divorce, death of a loved one, separation from a
parent, peer conflict, etc.
Participants do not need to be a client and can join at any time during the 4 weeks/sessions.
They are not required to attend all the sessions.
Expected outcomes for participants:
● Increase awareness of physical manifestation of emotions
● Learn to identify emotions
● Learn to identify triggers
● Develop coping skills to manage emotional regulation
