Geek Therapy
What if the things you love could be part of therapy?
Maybe you've always felt most at home in a fictional world, connected deeply with a favorite character, or found community through gaming, D&D, anime, comics, or other fandoms. Your interests can be meaningful ways to explore who you are, connect with others, and make sense of what you're going through.
Geek therapy incorporates the things you're passionate about into the therapeutic process, creating a space where you can feel understood and engage with therapy in ways that feel natural to you.

You might be here because:
Traditional talk therapy hasn't felt like a great fit for you.
You feel most comfortable expressing yourself through characters, stories, or games.
You're struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or relationships.
You're navigating questions about identity, belonging, or where you fit in.
Social situations and relationships feel difficult or exhausting.
You're looking for a therapist who understands your interests and your communities.
You want therapy to feel engaging, collaborative, and relevant to your actual life.
You're a parent looking for a therapist who can connect with your child through their interests and imagination.
Your interests can be part of the process.
Geek therapy isn't about replacing therapy with games. It's about using the stories, characters, worlds, and activities that already have meaning for you as tools for therapeutic work.
Depending on your therapist and goals, geek therapy may incorporate Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games, video games, fantasy and science fiction, comics, anime, storytelling, character development, or other shared interests.
We can support clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and other neurodivergence, social challenges, self-esteem, identity, relationships, emotional regulation, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.
How we can support
Your therapist will work with you to understand what brings you to therapy and how your interests might naturally support your goals. You don't need to know anything about a particular fandom. Your interests are simply one possible way to make therapy more personal and engaging.
Depending on what you're looking for, therapy may include traditional conversation, creative activities, storytelling, role-playing, games, character exploration, or other approaches that help you understand yourself and practice new skills.
Step 1: Reach out

Bring your whole self, including the things you love, into a therapeutic space designed to help you grow.
