Therapy for Kids & Teens

Kids and teens don't always have the words to explain what they're going through. Sometimes big feelings show up as meltdowns, anger, withdrawal, school struggles, changes in behavior, or difficulty getting along with others.

Maybe your child seems more anxious than usual. Maybe your teen has stopped talking to you. Or maybe you've tried everything you can think of and aren't sure what they need from you anymore.

Therapy can give your child or teen a space to feel understood, build skills, and work through what's making life harder, while giving your family support along the way.

Your family doesn't have to figure it all out alone.

You might be here because:

Your child is having big emotions, frequent meltdowns, or difficulty calming down.

Your child or teen is struggling with anxiety, fears, or feeling overwhelmed.

You're seeing changes in their mood, behavior, friendships, or school performance.

Your child has difficulty expressing their feelings or communicating what they need.

Your teen seems withdrawn, irritable, or disconnected from family and friends.

Your child is struggling with ADHD, autism, sensory differences, or other neurodivergence.

Your child is having difficulty with friendships, social situations, or feeling like they belong.

Your family is going through a major change, loss, or difficult season.

Your child has experienced something difficult or traumatic.

You're not sure what's going on, you just know your child doesn't seem like themselves.

Your child is more than the behavior you're seeing.

When a child is struggling, it's easy to focus on the behavior and wonder how to make it stop. But behavior often communicates something a child doesn't yet know how to say.

Our therapists take the time to understand what's underneath the behavior and get to know your child as a whole person: their strengths, interests, personality, relationships, and needs.

We don't believe every child needs to fit the same mold, and therapy should never be about taking away the things that make your child who they are.

We support kids and teens navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism and other neurodivergence, OCD, emotional regulation, anger, depression, self-esteem, social challenges, grief, trauma, life transitions, family changes, and other mental health and life concerns.

How we can support

Therapy for kids and teens looks different depending on their age, personality, needs, and goals. Your therapist will take time to build a relationship with your child, understand what's going on, and create an approach that feels engaging and developmentally appropriate.

Depending on what your child needs, therapy may include play, creative activities, storytelling, games, building emotional regulation skills, developing communication and coping strategies, working through difficult experiences, navigating friendships, or strengthening confidence and self-understanding. Parent support and involvement may also be part of the process.

Step 1: Reach out
