A Return To In-Person Care

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

Lillybrook Counseling Services understands the many concerns related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) as this crisis has deeply affected all of us. We appreciate the trust you have placed in us to not only provide you with quality mental health and behavioral health treatment but to do so in a manner that protects the safety of everyone at Lillybrook, this includes staff, client, and clinician. Our essential concern is for the safety of those we serve, those we love, and those in our communities. We have made it a top priority to create an environment, as well as policies and procedures, based on expert recommendations, that will allow you to continue to receive the high quality care you need and deserve in the safest manner possible. Furthermore, we will work to remain in full compliance with any order or authority in relationship to COVID-19.

Though we are aware that providing face-to-face sessions during this crisis may add risk to clients, clinicians, and staff as well as the broader community, it is our belief that the best way for us to continue to provide the best care possible is to do so by providing in-person care. As of May 18th, 2020, Lillybrook Counseling Services will begin providing face-to-face sessions for some clients. We see this process as one that will work in phases and those who have been unable to participate in remote sessions as well as those with the highest level of risk/need as determined by your therapist will be returning to face-to-face sessions first. You are not required to return for face-to-face in-person treatment. For those of you who have the ability to continue with telehealth sessions we ask you to remain patient as we work through what life and operations in a world with COVID-19 looks like. If you are immunocompromised, we ask that you to continue your treatment remotely through telehealth. Lastly, we support you in the event that you would prefer to continue with telehealth sessions, and therefore you are welcome to do so.

We do not know the timeline for a complete return to full functionality and face-to-face session. In theory we would need to know that immunity to the virus is available and working. However, every indication so far is that may not be for many more months. Therefore, we will continue to seek the guidance of the medical experts and will follow all necessary measures to protect you and ourselves during your treatment. Once we have the determination that the risk associated face-to-face sessions has reduced and/or eliminated we will begin returning all clients to in-person face-to-face sessions.

At this time, for in office/face-to-face treatment we are taking extensive measures to ensure a safe environment including an alternating schedule to maximize our ability to maintain the recommended 6ft of physical distance. Appointments will be scheduled in a manner so that clients are not congregating in the waiting room and unlikely to have to share any space within the suite.

Someone from our office will be reaching out to you about your appointments. However, if you have any questions, concerns, or comments or need to make an appointment please feel free to call us at (248)834-3577.

We appreciate your patience as we work to provide services to those in need.

Sincerely,

Joe Lilly, LMSW
